It was Elijah Norton who first established Veritas Global Protection in 2011. Initially, the company was in Kansas and then shifted its central office to Phoenix, Arizona. But the thing is, as with any other company out there in the same niche, the customers started having some problems regarding the warranty claims that this company was advertising about. Just keep one thing in mind: up until recently, the business was doing great, yet there was a constant flow of issues related to claim denials that had not been resolved.
The Nancy Maggio vs. Veritas Lawsuit
Back in 2020, Nancy Maggio, who comes from Pennsylvania, decided to buy a warranty from Veritas. While her vehicle was out of work, she attempted to submit a claim, but Veritas declined to pay for the repairs. Consequently, she sued in November 2021.
That is the main thing here: the warranty agreement mentioned Veritas, their previous office address in Kansas. Nancy mailed the complaint to that address, and as Veritas failed to answer, the court in December 2021 made a default ruling. In other words, it is a legal way of saying, “No attendance, no game.”
Veritas, in the course of time, protested that they had been to Arizona and that they had not received the complaint. However, the judge did not accept their explanation. He said that it was “unreasonable” for a big company to relocate without changing the address in agreements.
In January 2023, the judge refused Veritas’s application to reopen litigation. The biggest point? It is not possible for a business that has stated its location as part of an agreement to change its premises and anticipate that clients will find out without any assistance whatsoever.
Other Lawsuits Against Veritas
The Maggio case is not the only legal battle for Veritas. The company has faced multiple lawsuits in recent years, including:

Eventually, he was allowed to get his car fixed for $850.
