Is iShowSpeed being sued by Ashton Hall?

In the past couple of weeks, there has been a rumor spreading online about the claim that viral fitness influencer Ashton Hall is suing popular streamer IShowSpeed (Darren Watkins Jr.) after they had a public footrace that was streamed live. But if you look carefully at the information that is out there, it looks like the lawsuit is at best an assumption and at worst just a viral rumor on the internet.

The Background of the Rumor:

iShowSpeed

It looks like the whole thing started with a foot race in between Hall and iShowSpeed that was either a promotion or just for fun. It got a lot of attention on social media. There are a lot of videos and posts that talk about the race, the build-up, and how fans reacted on it.

Some videos and posts after the event said that Hall said he had lost sponsorship or ruined his “reputation” due of the outcome. This led to thoughts of taking legal action. For example, an Instagram video said, “Ashton Hall is SUING Speed for ruining his reputation.”

There is no valid legal documentation or court filings that have come to light that would support a formal case, though. The main coverage is still speculation. For example, a YouTube video called “IShowSpeed’s $20 M Court Case Update” rumors about the possibility of a multi-million dollar lawsuit, but it also says there isn’t any valid evidence of this.

So, is there really a lawsuit?

The answer is probably not at this moment, based on the information that we have.

Important reasons:

There is no official press release from Hall’s side confirming that a lawsuit has actually been filed, and there is not even a verified court docket number available to prove this.

A lot of the rumors and viral news seem to come from different social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, etc…

Some of the conversation seems to mix between “Hall plans to sue” and “Hall is suing.” There is a huge gap between intention and filing.

So, even though there is a lot of rumors online about Hall suing iShowSpeed, there isn’t enough evidence to prove that a lawsuit is actually filled against him.

Why this is Important:

Reputation and sponsorship: If Hall really thinks that the race or the media that followed hurt his reputation or finances, he might have a case for defamation or breach of contract. But you need a lot more than social media claims to file a lawsuit.

Public opinion vs. legal reality: Controversies created by social media influencers often get bigger online without any legal action happening at the same time. What people see on social media (tweets, reels, click-bait YouTube) may not be the same as what is actually filed.

What to keep an eye out for: A court filing in a jurisdiction, an attorney quoted in the news, or a statement from Hall’s legal counsel would be the next trustworthy evidence. The story is still not true without proper evidence.

Possible reaction or lip service: It’s also possible that the “lawsuit” controversy is just a way to get people to engage with the incident, not real legal action.

Conclusion:

Right now, there is no valid evidence that Ashton Hall is suing iShowSpeed. The rumor online says that Hall might be thinking about taking legal action, but there is no public record of a filing or court case to back this up. For now, the  news is still more like a viral clickbaiting rumor than an actual lawsuit.
